A gentle, supportive soul, Balakros is the third son of twelve siblings hailing from the Barvitýasch clan. The Barvitýasch roamed primarily in Northeast Ilsabard, managing to avoid Imperial subjugation by remaining in the more uninhabitable parts of the region. Having left his dye peddling family in 1568 6th A.E. to remain alongside his outcasted younger brother –Odisej– the two presumed their nomadic lifestyle as a duo. During those turns, Balakros continued to self-practice engineering, despite having fully dedicated his time to raising his young brother.Presently, the older of the brothers spends a great deal of his time working in the neighboring cities he, his brother and their newest caravan member –one Miss Loddie Leaman– find themselves near. Seeing as Loddie keeps Odisej company, Balakros has been able to set more time to his own devices.

You are a Lost or lived in Ilsabard... perhaps a fellow peddling hrothgar or simply a nearby native, it is possible you might have heard of or interacted with the Barvitýasch clan at some point. A nomadic family tribe selling various wares, especially that of their family trade in dyeing – if you wish to set this up, feel free to contact the player OOC to discuss more details! You are in Need of an Engineer... as well as a proficiency in firearms, Balakros has spent nearly his whole life amazed by the wonders of technology, having lived so close to the Empire. If looking for someone to make a quick fix to your tech, or perhaps someone to repair a broken chronometer – Balakros is your hrothgar!Traveling Trio... Once a mere duo, Balakros was typically seen with his younger brother, Odisej. It wouldn't be uncommon to hear about the ruckus the younger of the two Barvitýasch often brought upon the environment around the two. Since picking up Loddie Leaman though, their cart has grown just a bit more crowded. Rumours may float about about the caravan: one tall, unruly, hotheaded, another technologically savvy, short – at least by hrothgar standards – and the other a small, demure Miqo'te, seemingly out of place amongst the two. Feel free to approach the mustached lad for more questions on the matter in suspicion!

About Him

Once Apprentice of the Helions... Many turns ago, a young Balakros visited the Bozja Citadel with his family. While still too young to be an apprentice then, the hrothgar took a facination in the art of Gunbreaker engineering, having a love for technology. Much to the child's dismay however, the Citadel would be destroyed only a few moons following their visit, a notion that haunts him given his previous desire to remain there and what that could have potentially meant for him and his kin. Regardless, Balakros did not want to see the art die with this destruction. In the turns following, he sought out far and few Helion engineer survivors, requesting and receiving short time apprenticeships under them until it was time for his caravan to begin migrating yet again. By fifteen, after a family incident, he no longer took to working under the guidance of the Helions and begun adapting his own designs based off what knowledge he acquired in the turns following. His gunblades as a result, vary greatly from the designs of the Bozjan Helion engineers.Outcasts of the Barvitýasch clan... Unknown to most of why they left their family behind, those native to Ilsabard who might have come in contact might have a clue as to the situation that befell the brothers, leading them down their path.Has a Heavy Accent... Speaking in a northeastern, mountaneous dialect of Old Bozjan, Balakros' time in Eorzea over the turns has offered him better practice into the common tongue. Having learned at a younger age during his time visiting the Bozja Citadel, he is more practiced in the tongue than his younger brother and quite well spoken. Despite this, he can't quite shake how thick his accent is, perhaps making him a bit difficult to understand for those unnaccustomed to non-native speakers.

[Chosen dialect of Old Bozjan is derivative of real world Macedonian, as well are his cultural influences.]

Balakros was created July 2nd, 2019. He started at 31 years old and his birthday is August 16th. He has aged every subsequent year since.

I do not adhere by FFXIV's time bubble. And since I don't, I also do not accept the Bozja Citadel's destruction as having happened a static 15 years ago. Rather:
[ 15 + {5 + (how ever many years it’s been since 2013)} ]
This is also how I forumulate age as well:
[ 1572 + 5 + (how ever many years it’s been since 2013) - birth year = age ]
So for example:
1572 + 5 = 1577
1577 + 9 (in 2022) = 1586
1586 - 1551 (Bala's birth year) = 35 (in August of 2022)

Hope this helps if you care enough to be confused lmao.
